Question: Do we supply linens and towels for your retreat?
Answer: No, please bring your own, our washing machine is broken (just kidding)!

Question: How high is the Retreat Center?
Answer: Pretty high, the elevation is about 5,500 feet.

Question: What about a bathroom in the A-Frames, Lodge or Conference Center
Answer: Yes, we have lots of trees, seriously, all the conveniences of home are at your disposal here at the Center.

Question: Do we get snow in the winter?
Answer: Yes, sometimes lots, be prepared!

Question: Tell me about the shower house.
Answer: We have a separate shower house adjacent to the Church. It has separate stalls for men and women and can accomodate 10 people at one time.

Question: How many can sleep in the A-Frames/Lodge/Conference Center
Answer:
  • 2 A Frames - sleep 8 in each
  • Lodge with 18 beds - sleeps 20 to 25
  • Conference Center: 54 beds in dormitory, 1 bed in Jonah's chapel

Question: How far is skiing in the winter?
Answer: Snow Valley Ski Resort is about 20 minutes away. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain in Big Bear are about a 45 minute drive.

Question: Do you have a grocery store nearby?
Answer: Just up the road in Running Springs (5 minutes away) is Jensen's Market. They stock everything you could possibly need, even chains in the winter! If you drive into Running Springs and turn left, you will be headed toward Lake Arrowhead on State Highway 18. A 15 minute drive and a right turn on Highway 173, and you will arrive at the world famous Stater Bros. supermarket. They have Krispy Kremes!

Question: In case of emergency, do you have a hospital close by?
Answer: In Lake Arrowhead on the north shore, we have Mountains Community Hospital with full emergency facilities. Actually, if an emergency arose, its faster to drive back down Highway 330 to either Redlands Community or St. Bernadine's hospitals.

Question: Can I smoke at the Retreat Center?
Answer: NO, we live in a forest and fire is an extreme concern to the residents who call this area home.
